Get Ready for the Christmas Chaos!

Ali

This Friday is predicted to be the busiest day of the winter holidays on Britain’s roads, with gridlocked motorways likely to make journeys take three times longer than normal.

As we mentioned in our last post, both the Gatwick and Heathrow Express will be running limited services over the festive season, and major engineering works are planned for many underground lines, factors which will put extra pressure on the road network.

Congestion and possible delays are expected on most  major motorways,  with the M1, M6, M5, M4 and M62 taking the brunt of festive traffic volumes.

Earlier this week, Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin pledged that the majority of roads across England will be paused between December 23 and January 2.

Getting Out of London

If you are planning to travel on the M25 this Christmas, it may pay to take some supplies, in the form of water, an iPad and stress balls with you on your journey.  You can expect to travel a maximum speed of 11 miles per hour on some stretches.

If You’re Going to be Stuck in Traffic, Do it With Style

Rather than face the stress of gridlocked motorways behind the wheel of your own vehicle, why no let us take the load off you by driving to your Christmas party or Christmas Day destination?  Whilst we get you to where you need to be, you can ride out those traffic jams in the warmth of our stylish vehicles, enjoying a glass of bubbly and relaxing in comfort.
