Terms and Conditions

All Business undertaken by Continental Chauffeur Services shall be transacted solely on the conditions herein set out. Each condition shall be deemed to be incorporated in and shall be a condition of any agreement between Continental Chauffeur Services and the client.

Continental Chauffeur Services acceptance of clients order is conditional on the client agreeing to contract subject to these terms and conditions of sale to the exclusion of all others. By placing a booking with Continental Chauffeur Services for services the client is presumed to have agreed to these terms and conditions without modification. The unenforceability or invalidity of one or more of these terms and conditions or part thereof shall not affect the enforceability or validity of any term and conditions or remainder thereof.

Prospective Continental Chauffeur Services Clients may use this website to submit a quick quote enquiry or an online booking request. We will respond to either request by email or telephone as appropriate providing a quote based on the information provided.

Payment Policy

  1. If you make a payment by credit or debit card, the charge on your card statement will be shown as Continental Chauffeur Services.
  2. Credit card payments are subject to a 3% surcharge.
  3. All prices are exclusive of current rates of VAT.
  4. Car parking charges that are necessarily incurred in order to fulfil a booking will be charged at cost.
  5. Any variations to the journey that involve extra time or mileage may be subject to additional charges.
  6. All charges in the amounts specified herein and in the current tariff published by the company are payable in advance except where the hirer/client has credit account or a credit card approved by Continental Chauffeur Services.

Cancellation Policy

  1. If a booking is cancelled within 48 hours of the requested pick up time we reserve the right to make a 50% charge for the journey.
  2. If a booking is cancelled within 24 hours of the requested pick up time we reserve the right to make a full charge for the journey.
  3. If a wedding booking is cancelled within 2 months from the start of the period of hire, the deposit will be non refundable.
  4. If a wedding booking is cancelled within 1 month from the start of the period hire, the full hire amount will still be charged to the customer/client.
  5. If the passenger does not appear and make contact with our driver at the booked time and designated pickup point, we reserve the right to make full charge for the journey.
  6. Our bookings cancellation policy reflects the availability of the vehicles in our fleet. Upon acceptance of your booking we reserve the availability of that vehicle for you and subsequently refuse all other bookings for that vehicle at that time and on that date.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Continental Chauffeur Services is a trading name of Continental Chauffeur Services UK Ltd, Registered in England No. 0878 6063.
  2. All hires start and finish from Hyde Park, London, UK. Except those hires to or from various Airports or those which are subject of a fixed charge or those where the mileage starts when the hirer first goes into the hired vehicle and terminates when passenger finally leaves the car.
  3. Continental Chauffeur Services requires a minimum of 24 hours notice for any bookings.

  5. Continental Chauffeur Services will endeavour to ensure vehicle(s) arrive at the time and place requested. We cannot however accept responsibility for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as mechanical failure, traffic jams, traffic accident, or extreme weather conditions. Nor do we accept responsibility for any consequential loss.
  6. The Driver will travel by the most appropriate route on the day, unless instructed otherwise by the client, in which case payment policy clause 5 may apply.
  7. The Driver will drive at safe and sensible speed in accordance with road conditions, traffic and the legal speed limits.
  8. Unless specified at the time of booking, we may not automatically be able to accommodate additional pick-ups or drop-offs for any journey, although every effort will be made to meet such requirement.
  9. If our driver is asked to wait either at the beginning or during a journey, waiting time is chargeable at our current standard rate.
  10. We may provide subcontracted vehicles occasionally.
  11. Continental Chauffeur Services vehicles and subcontracted vehicles are fully insured for passenger and third party claims. However, customers properties are carried entirely at their own risk and Continental Chauffeur Services shall not be held responsible for any loss/damage to such property.
  12. A reasonable amount of ordinary passenger luggage is allowed, but luggage which in the opinion of the driver deemed to be of excessive weight will not be carried.
  13. Continental Chauffeur Services will keep a lost property book at their office and will endeavour to return any lost good left in our vehicle(s) or subcontracted vehicle(s) to the customer.
  14. Airport collection: unless special arrangements are requested, 45 minutes waiting time will be allowed from the time the flight has landed, thereafter waiting charges will apply at our current standard rate.
  15. Non- Airport collections: Except for a 15 minutes `grace’ period, waiting charges will apply from the booked time, at our current standard rate.
  16. Continental Chauffeur Services maintains a strict non-smoking policy in all its vehicles.
  17. We reserve the right to refuse entry to our vehicle(s) to anyone who is thought to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and/or those whose behaviour poses a threat to the safety of the driver, the vehicle or other passengers within the vehicle. We further reserve the right to terminate any journey due to unreasonable or improper behaviour by any passenger; we reserve the right to make full charge for the journey.
  18. If special cleaning of any vehicle is required because it has been left in a unreasonable state by the passenger/client, we reserve the right to charge the cost of cleaning to the passenger/client.
  19. We reserve the right to substitute any vehicle or chauffeur/driver.
  20. Our credit terms are 30 days from the date of the invoice unless previously agreed otherwise.
  21. Online quotations do not allow for public and bank holidays like Christmas Day or New Years Eve where there may be an additional surcharge. Please indicate on the quote form if your proposal booking is for a bank holiday or other special date.
  22. Nothing contained in these terms and conditions affects the Clients statutory rights.
